Acts

For six weeks we will focus our attention on the book of Acts. Each week we will focus on a different section of Acts that provides us with some important messages. First, the Holy Spirit is necessary equipment for all Christians for spreading the Good News and changing the world. Second, communities within the early church were very much like our small groups. Such groups are places where we can strengthen the muscles we need for communicating God’s love to others.

James

Join us for nine practical principles that James, the brother of Christ, believed were important for the young Christian church, and that are equally important for us today.

We Are Witnesses

Taste and see that the Lord is good. We have been witnesses to God’s miracles as he has worked in the life of our congregation. Join us as we give testimony to the faithfulness of God in this one year anniversary service.

Pursue Justice

Hear about the unfamiliar passions of God. Learn the stories of people who are victims of injustice, bonded slavery, violent land seizures, forced prostitution and more. The heart of God beats for these people, does yours? Find out how you can make a difference in their lives.

This Is My Body

In this Communion message, we look at the Why’s of taking Communion; why God established this new practice and why it’s necessary for the faithful to participate. We participate to remember God’s promises to us, to reconnect us with God through Christ the Redeemer, and to reunite us with our Christian family, the Church.

Deciphering the Sacred Scriptures

It’s the most published and purchased book in the world. It sells more than 1 billion copies yearly. 91% of the American population owns one. The average home has three of them. 80% of people living in the Untied States say it is the most important book ever written. 58% of Americans say that everything in this book is true.

I Will Boast in the Cross

When we give our lives to Christ, we often fall into the belief that we can keep adding one thing, then another to our list of good deeds to win God’s favor. But by adding things in, the gospel that we are being faithful to has changed. We need to focus on the message of the cross, which tells us that it is the hand of God reaching down to bridge the gap created by our sin and delivering all of us from having to earn God’s favor.

All Things New

We invite you to join us this Easter as we celebrate the death and resurrection of Christ. Using media, song and the spoken Word we will join with Christians throughout the world to proclaim the transforming power of the Gospel.

Transformed

Join us this weekend as we celebrate new life in Christ by baptizing a number of people from our congregation. We will look at what the Bible says about baptism. Baptism is an outward sign of an inward decision. Don’t miss this exciting time in the life of our church.

Life at the River’s Edge

The book of Joshua begins with the people of Israel gathered on the banks of the Jordan River, preparing to enter into the land that God promised long ago to Abraham and his descendants. Joshua has been here before–forty years earlier. He knows what life at the river’s edge is like and how frightening it can be to some people.
